AMRx Hub
Effective Date: 22 August 2026 Last Updated: 22 August 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the AMRx Hub website, web application, content, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and the AMRx Hub Privacy & Data Protection Policy and Cookie Policy, as applicable. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Definitions
“AMRx Hub”, “we”, “us”, or “our” means the person, organisation, or legal entity that operates AMRx Hub.
“Platform” means the AMRx Hub website, web application, pages, directory, account features, and related services.
“User” or “you” means a person or entity accessing or using the Platform.
“Content” means information, text, images, links, metadata, documents, videos, software references, and other material made available through the Platform.
“Third-party resources” means external websites, databases, software, publications, repositories, videos, services, or other resources linked or referenced by AMRx Hub.
2. Platform Purpose
AMRx Hub is a curated discovery and directory platform for antimicrobial-resistance resources. It organises and presents information about resources such as databases, software tools, publications, educational materials, surveillance resources, PDFs, videos, and related scientific resources.
Unless a specific feature expressly states otherwise, AMRx Hub does not operate the third-party AMR tools or external resources to which it links. AMRx Hub is not a substitute for a scientific database owner, software developer, publisher, healthcare professional, legal adviser, or other qualified professional.
3. Acceptance and Changes
By accessing, registering for, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by an appropriate notice where required. The updated Terms will state a new effective date. Continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance where legally effective.
4. Eligibility
You must meet the minimum age and legal capacity requirements applicable to your use of the Platform. AMRx Hub currently requires users creating an account to be at least 18 years old. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to act for that organisation.
5. Accounts, Verification and Security
Provide accurate and current information when creating an account.
Complete email verification where required.
Keep authentication credentials confidential and use reasonable measures to protect your account.
Notify AMRx Hub promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorisation.
Do not create accounts for impersonation, fraud, abuse, or unlawful purposes.
We may suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, violation of these Terms, abuse of the Platform, or operational reasons, subject to applicable law.
6. Permitted Use
Subject to these Terms, you may access and use the Platform for lawful research, educational, informational, and other legitimate purposes. AMRx Hub does not grant you ownership of the Platform or its intellectual property.
Any licence to software, publications, datasets, images, videos, or other third-party resources is governed by the licence or terms applicable to that third-party resource.
7. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
Use the Platform in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
Attempt unauthorised access to the Platform, infrastructure, accounts, or systems.
Introduce malware, malicious code, or other material intended to disrupt or compromise the Platform.
Interfere with Platform security, availability, or normal operation.
Use the Platform to harvest or misuse another person's personal data without a lawful basis.
Impersonate another person or organisation or provide materially false account information.
Use automated methods in a manner that unreasonably burdens, disrupts, circumvents, or abuses the Platform or its controls.
Infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.
Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes.
8. User-Generated Content
At the time of publication of these Terms, AMRx Hub does not generally enable public user uploads or community contributions unless a specific feature states otherwise.
If AMRx Hub later introduces user-generated content, the applicable feature terms or an updated version of these Terms will specify the submission rules, moderation rights, licences, privacy implications, and other requirements before or when the feature becomes available. Users must not assume that a future feature is governed by provisions that have not yet been published.
9. Intellectual Property
AMRx Hub's original software, branding, interface, original editorial material, taxonomy, metadata structures, documentation, and other materials owned by AMRx Hub are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws and are used subject to any applicable open-source or other licence.
Third-party resources remain owned by their respective owners. Their use is subject to the licences, terms, copyright notices, and other restrictions imposed by those owners.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of third-party material to AMRx Hub or grants users rights beyond those available under the applicable licence.
10. Scientific, Medical and Professional Disclaimer
AMRx Hub provides scientific and educational information and resource-discovery functionality. Content on the Platform is not medical, clinical, legal, financial, or other professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
AMRx Hub does not diagnose disease, prescribe treatment, determine antimicrobial therapy, or guarantee the scientific, clinical, legal, or operational suitability of any third-party resource. Users are responsible for independently evaluating information and following applicable professional, institutional, regulatory, and safety requirements.
11. Third-Party Resources and External Links
AMRx Hub may link to or describe third-party databases, software, repositories, journals, websites, videos, documents, and services. Such links are provided for discovery and convenience and do not necessarily constitute endorsement.
AMRx Hub does not control third-party resources and cannot guarantee their accuracy, availability, security, legality, licensing status, or continued operation. Your use of a third-party resource is governed by that third party's own terms and policies.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Processing of personal data through the Platform is described in the AMRx Hub Privacy & Data Protection Policy. The Cookie Policy describes cookies and similar technologies.
Users must not submit identifiable patient records, clinical records, or other sensitive health information through a feature that has not been expressly enabled for such information. If AMRx Hub introduces a feature intended to handle such information, it will publish appropriate requirements and safeguards before or when the feature becomes available.
13. Availability, Accuracy and Changes to Resources
AMRx Hub may add, modify, classify, update, remove, or discontinue resources and Platform features. We do not guarantee that every listing is complete, current, error-free, or continuously available. We may correct metadata or remove broken, obsolete, unsafe, infringing, or otherwise unsuitable resources.
Users should verify important scientific information against authoritative primary sources and the current materials provided by the relevant resource owner.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. AMRx Hub does not warrant that the Platform or third-party resources will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a right, remedy, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AMRx Hub will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from or connected with use of the Platform or third-party resources. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability that applicable Nigerian law does not permit a party to exclude or limit.
Any monetary liability cap, if adopted, should be reviewed against the final legal structure of AMRx Hub, applicable Nigerian consumer and contract law, and the nature of the users and services before publication. The previous fixed six-month-payment cap has therefore been removed from this draft rather than treated as automatically lawful.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Platform, material breach of these Terms, or infringement of third-party rights caused by your conduct. This provision does not require you to indemnify AMRx Hub for losses caused by AMRx Hub's own unlawful conduct.
17. Advertising, Sponsorship and Future Paid Features
AMRx Hub is currently intended to provide its core directory/discovery service without requiring payment from ordinary users. We may introduce advertising, sponsorships, premium services, or other monetisation in the future. Where applicable, sponsored content will be identified and any required privacy, cookie, pricing, subscription, or consumer notices will be provided.
Future paid services may be subject to additional terms, pricing, refund, subscription, or cancellation policies that will be presented before purchase.
18. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion through available account controls or by contacting AMRx Hub. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, security concerns, abuse, legal requirements, or operational reasons, subject to applicable law.
Termination does not automatically extinguish rights or obligations that by their nature should continue, including intellectual-property protections, applicable disclaimers, dispute provisions, or obligations arising from conduct before termination.
19. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory legal rights or rules that apply to a particular user or transaction.
The parties should first attempt in good faith to resolve disputes informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may seek remedies available under applicable law in a court of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria, subject to any mandatory jurisdictional rules.
20. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law.
21. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy & Data Protection Policy, Cookie Policy, and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement governing your use of the Platform, subject to any additional terms presented for specific services or features.

23. Publication and Legal Review Note
Before publication, AMRx Hub should confirm the legal identity of the operator, the correct notice/contact details, the actual services and features offered, applicable consumer-law requirements, and any required regulatory registrations or compliance obligations. This document is a platform draft and should receive professional legal review before being represented as AMRx Hub's final legally reviewed Terms.
